| WONDERLAND During the first few years of the 20th century, Kennywood erected the Wonderland building in an area to the left and forward of where the Turtle ride is today. Wonderland originally housed a scenic railway but around 1902 a steeplechase ride was installed and the building became known as the Steeplechase Arena. In addition to other attractions, the building also housed a "pavilion of fun", the first of a long line of attractions that we would know today as "funhouses." |
